Diwali brings back a lot of memories..those get-together, play time with my cousins,decorating diyas at my grand mom’s place, crackers and finally homemade sweets 🙂 . On this special occasion, want to share a simple yet very tasty recipe with you all. Best part of this sweet is that it doesn’t need frying or any preparation.Very easy to make for busy moms like me 🙂
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
No of Servings: 20
Ingredients:
Sooji: 2 cup
Powdered Sugar: 1.5 cup
Cardamom: 3
Milk: 2-3 tbsp
Grated dry coconut: 3-4 tbsp.
Ghee: 2 tbsp.
Cashew Nuts: 2 tbsp.
Kismis: 2 tbsp.
Method:
- Take a pan and dry roast sooji in it.
- Once you smell nice aroma,add sugar, crushed cardamom and turn off the heat.
- Add boiled milk to it .
- While it cools down a little, heat a pan with 2 tbsp of ghee in it.
- Once heated, add cashew and kismis to it.
- Fry them well and finally add grated coconut to it and turn off the heat.
- Transfer the mixture to the rava and mix it well.
- Take the mixture and make them into round balls while it’s still warm.
- Let it air dry and it’s ready to serve.
Notes:
- You can store it in an air tight container for 7 days.
- If you skip milk and coconut, it can stay for 2-3 weeks too.
