I first tasted stir fry at one of my work places in Chicago. It was the best veggie choice available and we could customize it from scratch. It was the best option for the winters over there. After moving to bay area, didn’t get a chance to taste it. Finally thought of making it home and wanted to add a quinoa twist to it 🙂 . Hope you’ll like my recipe.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
No of Servings: 3
Ingredients:
Quinoa: 1 cup
Water: 1 3/4 cup
Onions: 1
Broccoli: 1 medium head
Carrots: 2
Cabbage: 1 cup
Bell Pepper: 1
Spinach Leaves: handful
Olive Oil: 2 tbsp.
Sweet Ginger Sesame Sauce: 1 tbsp.
Salt: As per taste
Method:
- Wash quinoa and cook it in pressure cooker along with water and little salt.
- Cut onions, all vegetables into thin long pieces.
- Heat a pan with 2-3 tbsp. of olive oil. Add all vegetables to it.
- Fry them on high flame for 5 minutes.
- Add sauce and salt to it and mix well.
- Finally add wanton strips to it and turn off the heat.
- Serve the mixture along with quinoa.
Notes:
- You can add any vegetables and sauce of your choice .
- You can also add crushed peanuts to it.
