Roasted Phool Makhana / Lotus Seeds

Hi Buddies,

Yet another favorite recipe of Aashu!!! I was introduced to this healthy “Phool Makhana” by my friend (Thanks to her!!!), when Aashu was very sick and was only taking liquids for a week. With great hesitation, I offered him this snack and surprisingly he loved it. From that day, phool makhana never goes off from our grocery list. It’s rich in calcium, protein, and fiber and very low in calorie. For more details, check this Lotus Seeds Benefits. And the best part is, toss it up with any spice you like and it tastes as good as any junk food or may be even better!!!  My son likes it so much that he prefers this to chips/popcorn. So, I generally make it for 2-3 weeks and store it. It’s available in almost all desi stores in India/US. Try this guilt free snack and you would love it for sure.
